Remerber our Freedom Fighters
The month of May is set aside to remember our fallen soldiers of war, both past and present. As we go about our daily lives, working, relaxing, complaining about rising gas prices, or enjoying our time off, let us remember every day the soldiers and troops who have fought and given their lives so that we can go about our daily lives, working relaxing, complaining about rising gas prices, or enjoying our time off! God bless our military.

Mother's Day Garden Bracelet NOT Pig Clothes
I love seeing what crafters create with my digital sheets. I often visit their shops to see their latest creations. One such shop is from my friend Lori at Potbellypigclothes. No, she doesn't sell pig clothes! But she does sell some of the finest handcrafted jewelry you will find on Etsy! The first piece that caught my eye was her "Three Little Pigs" charm bracelet. I had intended to purchase it, but alas, it got away before I got back to her.
Lori was in the process of creating another bracelet from the Vintage Seed, Vegetable, and Flower digital sheet she had purchased from me. I loved the idea! I asked her to let me know when she had it ready and I would buy it.
When I received the Garden Bracelet, I was truly delighted. The workmanship was amazing, and the colors were vivid and bright, even more vivid than her pictures showed! I am so thrilled over this beautiful bracelet and the work of this new artist, that I had to share it with you!
I wore this bracelet to school, and my students loved it too. We are in the middle of a unit on plants, so it fit right in.
Of course since I deal in vintage images, my little brain went into overdrive thinking about all the beautiful bracelets, pendants, rings, etc. that Lori could create with them. I contacted her again about creating a Peter Rabbit bracelet for me since that is one of my favorite children's books. I sent her my Peter Rabbit digital sheet to use. When I received the bracelet, I read the story to my granddaughters, and then we had fun finding the little images on the bracelet and talking about the story. It was a nice memory maker with my little ones!
I am always amazed at the talent I find on Etsy, and Lori is no exception. If you like vintage, cottage, shabby, or even just photos of family, I imagine Lori could create something special and memorable for you. Please go and visit her shop to see what she is working on. You will like what you see! And I suppose, if you are in the market for pig clothes, maybe she could help you there too. After all, she has five potbelly pigs!

Max on Life Book Review
Included in the instruction book of any computer program or piece of electronic equipment is a section called, "Frequently Asked Questions," which is designed to help troubleshoot any problems that may arise when using the product. This book, Max on Life, by Max Lucado, is the Bible-based FAQ section for the workings of life. Mr. Lucado covers the topics of life, death, Heaven, Hell, angels, suicide, disciplining children, sex, and everyday life challenges.
Mr. Lucado's answers are full of wisdom and comfort. They are sometimes very blunt and straightforward, and are backed by scripture. They are thought-provoking and challenging. A thread of humor runs throughout his writings. His answers are full of examples and "word pictures" to help the reader "see" his points and better understand the wisdom in his answers. All of these great qualities are contained in short, wisdom-packed little essays to help readers sort through life's most challenging experiences.
The book contains 172 of these inspirational and informative answers to life's FAQ's. It is divided into seven sections and has a topical and a scriptural index. It also has an addendum on writing to help guide and encourage people to write "for the soul."
Max on Life is a great book to read for answers, and can be used as a daily devotional book. It is also a reference book to refer to many times for help with life's challenging problems. I highly recommend this book.
This book was given to me by Book Sneeze to read and write an honest review. I did not receive any other compensation for writing this review.
